EQUIPMENTS PURCHASED UNDER VGST-CESEM GRANT
During the academic year 2021–22, GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women Mysuru, was sanctioned a research grant of ₹40 lakhs by the Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST) under the Centre of Excellence in Science, Engineering and Medicine (CESEM) Scheme for establishing a “Centre for Research in Cyber-Physical Virtual Reality-Based Embodied AI Robotics”. The project was sanctioned under Grant Reference No. GRD 925 for duration of two years under Dr. M. Shivakumar as the Principal Investigator (PI), and Dr. M. V. Srinivas Rao as the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI).
The Centre was established to promote advanced research and innovation in the interdisciplinary fields of Cyber-Physical Systems, Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics. It provided a platform for faculty members, researchers, and students to undertake cutting-edge research, develop innovative technological solutions, and strengthen collaborative research activities with academia and industry. The sanction of this prestigious VGST grant is a significant milestone in the institution’s research journey and reflects its commitment to fostering excellence in emerging technologies and advanced engineering research.
