Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Industry
To strengthen industry–academia collaboration and enhance the employability of students, the department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women, Mysuru has established Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with reputed industries, organizations, and technology partners. These collaborations aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industrial requirements by providing students with opportunities for internships, industrial visits, expert lectures, skill development programs, certification courses, live projects, and research activities.
Through these MoUs, students gain exposure to emerging technologies, industry best practices, and real-world problem-solving environments. The partnerships facilitate knowledge exchange between academia and industry, enabling faculty and students to engage in collaborative professional development activities. The institution is committed to fostering a strong industry interface that supports experiential learning, enhances technical competencies, promotes innovation and entrepreneurship, and prepares students to meet the dynamic demands of the global workforce. These strategic collaborations contribute significantly to improving industry readiness, employability, and overall professional growth of students.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed between GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysuru and Nokia Solutions and Networks India Private Limited, Bengaluru on 5th August 2024 at GSSSIETW, Mysuru to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia. The main insights of this MoU aimed at leveraging mutual expertise and resources to foster innovation and drive advancements in the areas of telecommunications, 5G networks, Internet of Things (IoT).
By Signing this MoU, GSSSIETW,Mysuru and Nokia Solutions and Networks India Private Limited, Bengaluru, have agreed to explore a collaborative approach which is mutually beneficial to the students and the industry. Nokia Solutions and Networks India Private Limited, Bengaluru, will offer Student centric programs such as Technical Talks//Workshops/Hackathon / Industrial Visits/Skill Training programs/Symposiums/Inter Institute programs for the students paving way to seek job opportunities in core companies. Also, provide platform for for upskilling the faculties via Faculty Development programs. Also, to engage in joint research and development activities focused on specific areas such as 5G technology, IoT solutions, network infrastructure, Also, to explore and implement the integration of Nokia’s advanced technologies and solutions with existing and upcoming projects, enhancing overall efficiency and performance, To facilitate knowledge transfer and training programs between the two organizations, ensuring that both parties stay at the forefront of industry advancements and technological trends. Through this partnership, GSSSIETW, Mysuru and Nokia aim to achieve significant advancements in improving network connectivity from August 2024 to July 2027.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed between GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru and Deshila Technology Research Institute, Mysuru on 4th June 2022 at GSSSIETW, Mysuru to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia.
By signing this MoU, GSSSIETW and Deshila Technology Research Institute, Mysuru, have agreed to explore a collaborative approach which is mutually beneficial to the students and the Industry. DTRI will offer industry standard projects and internships to students in adherence to college and VTU guidelines.
Hands-on training in latest technologies will be provided to interested students paving way to seek job opportunities in core companies. Platform for upskilling faculties and research activities will be arranged as per requirements on a regular basis. GSSSIETW in association with DTRI will frame additional skill development activities meeting the Industry standards. Awareness on technology trends in 5G Communication and IoT domain will be given more focus under this MoU program.

GSSSIETW has signed an MOU with Renesas Electronics Corporation on 12th May 2025 and as a part of MOU 25 students from ECE and EEE were undergoing Udgama program. Online follow up classes were conducted every week. Virtual final presentation was conducted on 2nd and 4th September and feedback was shared to students. On 25th September final demo is scheduled in auditorium.
OBJECTIVE:
This industry academia bridge program by Renesas India aims to
- Introduce the world of electronics and semiconductors to students
- Empower aspiring women engineers to pursue hardware as a career choice
- Equip them with real-world skills, mentorship, and opportunities
Udgama FRAMEWORK
- A select cohort of 25 students in teams of 5
- Each team will be provided with a Renesas board to build a product
- A team can choose from a list of problem statements
- Virtual/in person training session for introduction to Renesas board
- Group mentor/ Knowledge Community for information and support
- Demonstrate your final product to Renesas leadership in Demo Day
- Enhance your expertise with proficiency in PCB Design (Altium certification) Opportunity for internship roles.

GSSSIETW signed an Academic Alliance with UiPath on 29th July 2020. GSSSIETW in association with UiPath will be conducting courses for the students on usage of UiPath Studio, UiPath Robot and UiPath Orchestrator, RPA Design and Development, Capstone projects. On successful completion of the course students can take up RPA certification.

GSSSIETW has become the network institute of Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Dehradun




GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, has signed an Academic and Scientific Cooperation Agreement with Università degli Studi del Sannio, Italy, to promote international collaboration in education, research, and innovation.
The agreement aims to strengthen academic and cultural exchange between the two institutions, particularly in the areas of Industrial and Information Engineering. Through this collaboration, both institutions will work together to enhance teaching, research, and professional development opportunities for students and faculty members.
The key objectives of the MoU include:
- Promotion of joint research activities and academic collaborations.
- Exchange of faculty members, researchers, and students.
- Organization of international seminars, workshops, conferences, and technical lectures.
- Development of collaborative projects in emerging technologies and engineering disciplines.

GSSSIETW has signed an MOU with Shikshana Foundation, Bengaluru on 5th June 2025. The objective of this collaboration is to support deserving women engineering students from financially weaker sections by providing scholarships, technical mentoring, career guidance, and skill development opportunities.
The collaboration aims to provide the following support to selected students:
- Financial assistance and scholarship support.
- Hardware support during the engineering program.
- Digital literacy enhancement initiatives.
- ICT and technical skill development workshops.
- Industry expert mentoring and guidance.
- Career guidance for mini projects and major projects.
- Entrepreneurial exposure and awareness programs.
- Internship and employability opportunities.
- Soft skills and professional development training.
- Industry interaction and networking opportunities.
The effectiveness of the program shall be periodically reviewed through interactions with students and parents.Representatives from Shikshana Foundation may visit the institution, interact with beneficiaries, and collect academic and program-related information for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This Letter of Understanding shall remain in force from the date of signing and shall continue as mutually agreed by both organizations.

Vigyanlabs Innovations Private Limited, Mysuru, will offer industry standard projects and internships to students in adherence to college and VTU guidelines.
The proposed MoU aims to strengthen industry-academia collaboration in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Digital Infrastructure, with a focus on AI readiness, skill development, and innovation. The MoU is primarily academic in nature and shall be implemented in accordance with institutional policies. The concerned department will coordinate all activities and ensure measurable outcomes

To establish skill based vocational training center to impart industrial training. And it also aims to conduct hands on workshop program and to provide certificates for the participants

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed between GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru and Reap Benefit Foundation, a trust registered with Government of Karnataka, Bengaluru, on 24th March 2026 at GSSSIETW, Mysuru to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia.
Reap Benefit Foundation is a charitable trust engaged in the efforts to activate and nurture young citizens to solve civic and environmental problems in their local communities. GSSSIETW wishes to collaborate with Reap Benefit Foundation, to utilize its resources towards supporting such initiatives.
