Universal Human Values (UHV) Cell of GSSSIETW, Mysuru
- To ensure proper infrastructure and structure for the UHV Cell as per guidelines of AICTE.
- To articulate, refine and share vision and educational goals, particularly those that are related to Universal Human Values.
- To define indicators or measures related to Universal Human Values goals & activities.
- To ensure proper teaching of UHV-I of Student Induction Program and UHV-II of 2nd year, through oriented faculty members.
- To Conduct regular meeting of UHV cell Members along with other Faculty Members, staff and Students interested in UHV.
- To develop the UHV teachers through advance UHV FDPs and motivate other faculty members, staff and students to attend initial level of UHV workshops.
- To conduct short workshops with faculty members, staff and students.
- To facilitate availability of common teaching assets like books and other study materials.
- To formalize evaluation criteria, exam pattern, etc.
- To keep records & maintain communication with concerned UHV bodies like Nodal Centers, Regional Nodal Center etc.
- UHV Cell is involved in identifying faculties who can teach AICTE UHV-I Sessions during the Student Induction Program for newly joined first year BE students from 2019. The faculties who have successfully completed one 5-day online UHV FDP organized by AICTE take the UHV sessions during the Student Induction Program.
- UHV Cell is involved in identifying faculties who can teach AICTE UHV-II content for fourth semester BE students from 2023. The faculties who have successfully completed UHV-II FDP organized by AICTE offer the UHV course to fourth semester BE students.
- UHV Cell encourages faculty mentors to advise students on self-exploration methods as taught in UHV based on right understanding to help students to solve their issues related to learning and life during mentoring sessions.
- UHV Cell encourages discussion of faculties teaching UHV-II for fourth semester BE students to share their experience on teaching UHV course and student responses to self exploration of harmony at different levels in the existence.
- UHV Cell ensures that first year BE students attend the online webinars on UHV organized by VTU.
- UHV Cell encourages college faculties to register to the FDPs organized by AICTE on UHV.
