Student club
This year has been a remarkable journey of learning, innovation, leadership, and technology empowerment. Through our Google initiatives, we successfully organized more than 15 technical events, workshops, study jams, hackathons, mentoring sessions, and cloud learning programs, creating valuable opportunities for students to acquire industry-relevant skills and global exposure.
Our learning ecosystem is built around five key Google initiatives:
- Google Cloud Club – a student-led platform that promotes hands-on learning in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Application Development.
- GDG On Campus – our institution is proud to be among the few colleges in Mysuru to host a Google Developer Group on Campus for the second consecutive year, enabling students to participate in Study Jams, Hackathons, Google Cohorts, and global developer community activities.
- Google Arcade – a gamified learning platform where students complete cloud challenges and hands-on labs while earning badges, achievements, and practical cloud expertise.
- Google Career Launchpad – a faculty-monitored learning initiative that guides students through structured pathways in Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Generative AI, and Cloud Technologies, leading to industry-recognized certifications and skill badges.
- Google Cloud for Education – providing students across all departments with free learning resources, hands-on labs, cloud credits, and practical exposure to real-world cloud technologies. Eligible learners receive up to 5,000 Google Cloud credits every semester, enabling experimentation and innovation at no cost.
One of our flagship achievements this year was the successful organization of HackStorm 8.0 – Prompt to Product AI Buildathon, a seven-hour intensive innovation challenge where students transformed ideas into working solutions using Artificial Intelligence and Cloud technologies. The event fostered creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and product-oriented thinking.
Our students actively participated in learning programs including:
- Introduction to Cloud Computing and Google Cloud
- Gemini Gems – Generative AI and Prompt Engineering
- WAMP Installation and Full Stack Development
- Google Cloud Skills Boost Study Jams
- DevFest and Agentic AI Technical Sessions
- TechSprint Hackathon Series comprising Kickoff, MentorMeet, and Expo Finale
A major milestone was the successful execution of the Google Career Launchpad Program.
Under this initiative:
- Batch 1 achieved an exceptional success rate, with 38 out of 39 students successfully completing the Generative AI Learning Path.
- Batch 2 expanded across departments, engaging approximately 132 students from CSE, AI&DS, ECE, and EEE.
Collectively, our students achieved:
- 613 Google Cloud Courses Completed
- 177 Google Cloud Skill Badges Earned
- 90 Successful Course Completions across Specialized Learning Tracks
More detail available in the Annual Report of the Students Club. Every year department organized a Cloud Talk- Final Bytes to conclude the activities and achievement of this Club
