The Department of Instrumentation Technology of GSSSIETW, Mysuru had organized online lab inauguration of the Robotics Lab which was setup through e-yantra using a grant of Rs.30 Lakhs sanctioned by Vision Group of Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka with Dr. M.Shivakumar as Program Coordinator. e-yantra is a project initiated by IIT-Bombay sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Department under National Mission of Education through Information and Communication Technology. The ceremony started with an introductory address by Professors from IIT Bombay.

The main objective of the Inauguration is to unite all colleges joining the e-yantra Lab Setup Initiative by inaugurating their individual labs simultaneously through the live web conference. The e-yantra team from IIT, Bombay congratulated GSSSIETW and assured their full assistance in future for any support from their end. The signage board sent by e-Yantra was opened by the dignitaries to symbolically declare lab as an e-Yantra lab. The college had received a free robotic kit which was handed over to the lab team leader Dr. M.Shivakumar by the Principal.
