About Ranger :
In 1909 Lord Robert Baden Powell, the founder of Scouting, When faced with an increasing number of Girls Wishing to take part in scouting decided that Girls should have their own separate movement, and the girl guides were Founded in the UK in 1910 Under the guidance of “Agnes Baden Powell”, the sister of Robert Baden Powell.
Ranger Unit at GSSSIETW was launched on 27/02/2016 by the chief guest Sri Abdul Jameel – Hon. Secretary Bharat Scouts and Guide, Dist. Association Mysuru Smt. Manohara Prabha – Dist. Training Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guide, Dist. Association Mysuru.
Objectives Of Rangers :
- To acquire the proper background of guiding its aims,its fumdamentals,methods.
- Understand the practical value of Guide promise and law & interpret effectively
- Give a proper directions and correct approach and practice to acquire the technical skills.
- To promote Projects tot help the needy and to enrich the lifestyle with special concern for women.
- Extend service to the community with the special emphases on campaigns on health.
- Promote religious tolerant & pressure the cultural heritage of our country.
- Develop habits and acquires skills to be self reliant.
Overall Objectives :
The Bharat Scout and Guides are Voluntary, Non Political, Educational movement. This Movement is for young people, open to all without discrimination of origin, race or creed inaccordance with purpose, principles and method.
Purpose of the Movement :
To contribute to the development of the young people in achieving their full physical intellectual social and spiritual potentials as individuals as responsible citizens and as a members of the local, National and international communities.
Centenary Rally of scouting
Centenary Rally of Scouting organized by the Bharat Scouts & Guides, Karnataka District Association, Mysuru on 21/02/2018 and 22/02/2018 at Sri Jayachamarajendra Scouts and Guides Headquarters, Mysuru. The Kalpana Chawala Rangers of GSSSIETW Mysuru were participated and presented the poster on “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. conducted under District Rally –2017.

One day Hiking
One day ‘Hike’ organised by Rajani G, Ranger Leader GSSSIETW, Under the guidence of Ajay Kumar Jain Dist. Head Quarters Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Mysuru on 27th April 2017 at Kunthibetta, Pandavapura, recently under the Kalpana Chawala Ranger Unit, GSSSIETW, Mysuru. The students have participated with great Energy in the programme and experience the benefits of Hiking.
Campus Cleaning
‘Campus cleanig’ activity was organised by Rajani G, Ranger Leader GSSSIETW, on 22nd April 2017, under the Kalpana Chawala Ranger Unit, GSSSIETW, Mysuru. The Ranger students have participated in the programme.
District Rally –2017
District Rally –2017, Organized by Bharat Scouts & Guides, Mysuru on 16/02/2017 at Dist. Head Quarters, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Mysuru. Rangers [ Sri lakshmi from TCE, Papiya mandal from TCE, & Prathima from EEE] of GSSSIETW were participated and won 1ST Prize in First aid competition conducted under District Rally –2017.
17th National Jamboree
Rajani G, Ranger leader of GSSSIETW, Mysuru served as International Guest Contingents at 17th National Jamboree held at Adakanahalli Industrial area, Nanjangudu- Mysuru Road, Mysuru Dist. during 29/12/2016 to 04/01/2017.

A talk on “Knotings, Lashings & Tents” was delivered by Ajay Kumar Jain Dist. Head Quarters Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Mysuru. on 22nd October 2016, recently under the Kalpana Chawala Ranger Unit, GSSSIETW, Mysuru. The students have participated with great Energy in the programme

A talk on “Flags and its Hoisting Procedure” was delivered by Ramprasad Dist. Organiser , Bharat Scouts & Guides Mysuru on 24th September 2016 under Kalpana Chawala Ranger Unit, GSSSIETW, Mysuru. The students have participated with great zeal in the programme .
Topics : Flags,Types of Flags and the indication of Colours,Measurements,Procedure of Hoisting etc.
