GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysuru has organized State Level Telecommunication Project Model Competition (TELEUSTAV – 2017) on 17th April 2017. The program was an initiative to establish a Embedded system project lab. A technical talk on “Embedded Systems using Internet of Things “on 10th of November 2016 was organized by the Technical forums of ECE & TCE Dept , GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru in association with IETE Students Forum (ISF) . The resource person Mr. Mrithyunjay Siv, discussed technical issues on the wide range of open source projects on embedded systems using IoT that was helpful for the societal growth. The various microcontroller and microprocessor interfacing projects were also discussed. The session was followed by a lively interaction with the students and faculty members. The lecture was an eye-opener, informative and extremely useful.

A technical talk on “Internet of Things “on 6th of October 2016 was organized by the Technical forums of ECE & TCE Dept , GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru in association with IETE Students Forum (ISF) . Prof. A V Srikantan ,Principal, RTTC, BSNL, Mysuru delivered a technical talk on  “INTERNET OF THINGS”  as an activity under the MOU. The program was attended by HODs,  faculty members and students of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Telecommunication Engineering.

A two Days Workshop on “ARM Processor & its Applications” through IETE Students Forum (ISF) was inaugurated in GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysuru on 22nd, and April 2016 at 10AM. The event was jointly organized by the departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Telecommunication Engineering.  The chief guest for the event was Sri. Sunil T Shambhatnavar, Business Development Manager Advanced Electronic Systems, Bengaluru. and the guest of honour was Dr. Anil Kumar V Nandi, Professor, BVB College of Engineering, Hubli, Karnataka. A three Days Faculty Development Program on “Antenna Theory Design and Analysis using ESI’S CEM solution tool 2016” through IETE Students Forum (ISF) was inaugurated at GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysuru on 27th 28th & 29th January, 2016. Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Department of Telecommunication Engineering had organized one day National Conference on “ELECTRONICS, SIGNALS, COMMUNICATION AND OPTIMIZATION (NCESCO -15)” in Association with IETE Students’ Forum (ISF), Mysuru on 9th July 2015 at GSSSIETW, Mysuru. The chief Guest Dr. M H Kori, Chairman, TPCC, Bengaluru, delivered the Key Note Address on “From evolution of Wireless Communications to 4G and beyond and IoT”, He highlighted various technologies in Wireless communication and advancement in the field of Digital wireless communication. The Guest of honor Dr. V A Sajeev Kumar, Scientist F, DFRL, Mysuru, highlighted the significance of technology in the Food packaging and the work being carried out in DFRL. Dr. M Shivakumar, Prof & Head, Dept. of TCE and Dr. Parameshachari B D, Assoc.Prof , Dept. of ECE were the Conference Conveners.

Chief Guest of this event was Mr. Bhargav Raman, Team Lead-iSense, Nihon Communication Solutions Pvt Ltd, Bangalore.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and the Department of Telecommunication Engineering, GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, celebrated the “International Women’s Day” on 9th March 2015, under IETE Students’ Forum. The program was graced by the Chief guest Dr. Rameshwari Verma, & Guest of Honour Smt M.A Hemalatha,. An inspiring talk on “Challenges for Women then and now” was addressed by Dr. Rameshwari Verma and an informative talk on the “Legal Awareness on Women rights” by Smt M.A Hemalatha. The function was presided by Smt.Vanaja B Pandit, Hon. Secretary, GSSS (R). Vanaja B Pandit madam delivered presidential address to the gathering on the theme “Make it happen” by focusing practical problems faced by women in balancing career and home, also enlightened on women Empowerment.
